In slightly ominous news, reports have surfaced of animals fleeing one of the world’s most famous national parks.

Footage appears to show bison and other animals in a mass exodus from America’s Yellowstone National Park sparking speculation that a mega volcano is about to explode, The Epoch Times reports.

The reports of animals fleeing started to surface April 2nd after an earthquake hit the area. But could this spell disaster for the volcano, which last erupted 640,000 years ago?

Blogger Jay Lee posted video of a herd of bison running from the park, asking if the animals are “trying to tell us something?”

The Yellowstone super volcano, which is still an active hotspot, has had three cataclysmic eruptions – 2 million, 1.3 million and 640,000 years ago, creating a series of ‘nesting’ calderas, say scientists.

The eruption 2 million years ago was the most catastrophic, covering half of North America with ash and wiping out prehistoric animals, reports the Yellowstone Volcano Observatory.

A super volcano eruption in Yellowstone would reportedly devastate the United States, killing millions and potentially destroying everything in an arch to the East, South, and South East of the park all the way through to the Midwest.

In most scenarios, and has been proven to an extent by science with recorded volcanic eruptions previously, volcanic events are usually preceded by seismic events.

Yellowstone is one of the biggest super volcanoes in the world,” said University of Oregon geologist Ilya Bindeman.

The inevitable next “big one” will wipe out the surroundings for hundreds of kilometres, covering the US and Canada in ash, he told EarthSky.

It would devastate agriculture and cause global cooling for a decade, he says. A volcanic eruption of that size “hasn’t happened in modern civilisation,” he added.

It’s worth noting that many were quick to comment that the “fleeing” animals could have just been running away from hunters, while scientists have said the volcano is not likely to explode for a good million years.

Today, a very deep 5.1M earthquake struck Brazil.  347 miles deep (560km)

Seeing  a non-volcanic related 5.0M+ event , at  roughly 350 miles deep, in itself is a rather abnormal occurrence for Brazil…. normally we see this deep movement associated with Volcanoes / Volcanic chamber unrest.  That being said, this earthquake made me raise my eyebrows a bit.

If this event was on its own, I might have just dismissed it as related to the recent Chile 8.2M earthquake event last week (April 1, 2014)…. however….. this deep mantle earthquake is NOT alone.

Past 48 hours something going on VERY deep inside the Earth – all at roughly 300 — 350 miles deep.  Showing as multiple earthquakes happening across the entire Pacific Plate ( again, particularly not normal in the East Pacific / Brazil)

This indicates deep earth magma displacement where the Liquid mantle meets the crust. An area inside the earth, below the crust, called the “Asthenosphere”.

Major international seismic movement is occurring.

With the 8.3M (7.7M) event in the West Pacific, the Central America volcano activity, and the South America earthquake swarms…. across the board, an uptick in activity is showing.

Earthquake prone areas , and non-prone areas , BOTH need to be on watch.

Now we see a 4.9M earthquake strike the Western portion of the Yellowstone supervolcano magma chamber.   A noteworthy event occurring along the Northwest edge of the craton (some agencies reporting a 5.0M).

This new 4.9M event is on top of the earthquake swarm over the past several weeks, and the PREVIOUS borderline 5.0M event 3 weeks ago (largest to occur in 40 years in the region).

You can see the Yellowstone cluster spot , as well as the Oklahoma fracking swarm, and the Southern California event (which everyone already forgot about).

The areas along the edge of the craton need to be on watch for possible compensation movement in the near term.

With all the unrest currently happening internationally (and nationally), we can expect to see further movement along the edge of the craton in the near term.

Have an earthquake plan ready.

“The asthenosphere (from Greek asthenÄ“s ‘weak’ + sphere) is the highly viscous mechanically weak ductilely-deforming region of the upper mantle of the Earth. It lies below the lithosphere, at depths between 100 and 200 km (~ 62 and 124 miles) below the surface, but perhaps extending as deep as 700 km (~ 435 miles).”

This area below the crust is now experiencing multiple moderate earthquakes around the perimeter of the ENTIRE Pacific Plate.  The Asthenosphere ( made up of viscous magma / semi-solid melted rock) ,is known for its involvement in Tectonic Plate movement.

If you see multiple earthquakes in the Asthenosphere, around the entire Pacific Plate , all happening within 48 hours …. one can know for certain that something is majorly moving inside the earth.    Also, know that larger + shallower movement will be occurring in adjacent areas to these deep Earthquakes.

Expect more large earthquake activity due to this. Near term.  New Earthquake overview coming out tomorrow will cover this NEW development.

Until tomorrows update, generally speaking, keep an eye on the silent areas just Northwest of Brazil.   Watch the Pacific Northwest as well.  In Asia, watch the area in the middle, between the deep events (near Taiwan to Philippines).

However, until things begin to cool off, I’m left having to issue an urgent ‘earthquake watch’ for certain areas along the edge of the North American Craton.

This screenshot below shows the past 48 hours of earthquakes in the continental United States and Canada … alongside there is a diagram of the North American Craton.

Clearly, heavy activity building upon the Western portion of the plate, and we’re seeing a massive area become displaced – from Southern California, to Yellowstone – from Yellowstone to Oklahoma.

The entire displaced area having moved on a mid 4.0M range (or GREATER) in the past 24 — 48 hours.

In other words, over the past two days, the entire western portion of the plate has moved on a 4.0M basis across 1000+ miles.

This means we can expect a major strain to be currently building upon the “edge” of the craton. Also areas meeting the Western and Eastern edges of the plate (British Columbia to the West, and Quebec Canada to the East) MUST be building stress to the point of release at some point soon.

All this would be near term , 3-5 days at the most… if we can get past the next few days without any event along the edge of the craton greater than a 5.0M , we’ll be in the clear for a minute.

For the next few days, be aware of the massive amount of pressure building (and showing) along the Western portion of the North American plate.

The pressure will continue manifesting as earthquakes along the edge of the craton – areas such as Yellowstone, Oklahoma, and Southern California . Some of these release events could be rather noticeable (sizable greater than the previous events over the past few days, i.e. greater than 5.0M).

New Madrid, and East Coast United States – particularly along the craton edge, be aware of possible movement. Not the “big one” , but maybe something similar to the 2011 Virginia earthquake (5.9M).

We saw this kind of buildup along the plate during 2011 before the East Coast earthquake.

Over the past several days, I’ve been warning for this movement to take place.

Over the past week, several reports have been coming in from viewers, telling me to check the charts in Yellowstone. People saying the charts are showing UNREPORTED activity on multiple stations across the famous Supervolcano (national park).

Indeed, activity was occurring this past week, but NOT being counted on the USGS public feeds as earthquakes.

Earthquakes at Yellowstone not being reported? What is this madness?

After checking the actual charts, indeed it is confirmed, there has been earthquake movement GREATER than 2.5M across the area, the charts do not lie……

Here are a couple examples of the activity NOT showing on public feeds as “earthquakes”.. yet clearly some actual movement is occurring : (censored?)

Move forward a few days, now currently March 25, 2014 – after the flurry of UNREPORTED activity – and now the USGS is showing THREE 3.0M+ events over the past 24 hours.

Coming from the Western edge of the Yellowstone Magma Chamber (click to view full size) :

The magma chamber for the supervolcano has been found to extend further West than originally thought. Confirmed now via subterranean “soundings” taken via ground penetrating RADAR, the chamber extends as far West as the Oregon State Line.

Compare the “reported” 3.0M+ events shown on the charts below, to the charts over the past few days, shown above.

The charts above show similar sized activity. However no earthquakes were reported at Yellowstone corresponding to the charts above.

This means censorship is occurring at some point. The earthquakes on the charts earlier this week, were not reported as earthquakes to the public.

Move forward 2-3 days… March 24, 2014 .. THREE earthquakes, greater than 3.0M, now showing on the Yellowstone charts, and also being publicly admitted on the USGS feeds.
